Super
impressed with this meal – Hamburger Steak with onions & gravy; served on
top of a layer of mashed marscapone potatoes and veggies on the side.
Incredible
– hamburger really did taste like a steak – secret was the salt & pepper,
which reminded me of my dad’s hamburgers.
Hubby raved about the gravy – definitely a keeper!
Would
not be ashamed to serve this to company!
Not only easy to prepare but easy on the pocket book too!
Ingredients:
1 lb

½ t salt
& pepper, divided
1 T

large skillet over med high heat; add patties.
Cook 3 minutes on each side or until brown; remove from pan.
2.
Add remaining 1 t of oil to pan; add sliced onions. Saute 3 mins or until lightly browned and
tender. Sprinkle onion with flour, cook
30 seconds stirring constantly. Add
stock to pan; reduce heat to med, partially cover and cook 5 mins or until
gravy is slightly thickened.
Meanwhile, drained cooked potatoes, add milk and 1 t

Place small mound of potato on plate, top with hamburger
