GNO: Dinner and Theatre

Dec 3 2016; Girls night out!  Dinner with Sherry, Maria & then off to a community theatre production. Looking forward to getting together; of course there will be wine and we will raise a glass to Lou whom was a good friend to us all.  What a better day than on his birthday?  Couldn’t have worked out better if planned :) 

Dinner was amazing!  Evening was a success even if the show was a “bomb” but heard it was better than Matilda :)

Appetizers:

·    Stuffed mushrooms
Which is always a hit!  Easy peasy and can be frozen until ready to serve.

·      Parmesan stuffed dates wrapped in bacon; Maria loved and surprised at how easy to prepare; her plans to make this app at her next dinner party!

Mushroom Carpaccio

Will definitely make this dish again!  

So simple and easy; enjoyed by all!  
Savoured the lemon, garlic and so light;

Main was the star of my show! 

Grilled steak with grilled tomatoes on tofu ranch dressing.  Yes, that’s right tofu!  Could not even whisper the word in front of my husband for fear he would decline to eat on “principle” alone.  Do not skip.  This dish was amazing! With the chili spiced bread crumbs; every bite was a different taste sensation; Restaurant/fine dining quality. I give this dish 5 stars!
